WHAT DO WE HELP WITH?
YWAM Ships Philippines places physicians, dentists, eye doctors, and other medical professionals in short-term service on our vessels on deployment. We coordinate all the details of the assignment, including:
• Matching interests, abilities, and time frame with our vessels and locations
• Providing orientation and resources before and during the assignment
• Assisting with necessary visas, permits, and other field requirements
• Coordinating field housing and transportation
• Assisting volunteers in handling financial details related to overseas service

CLINICAL LABORATORY
A basic clinical laboratory is being established aboard. The main focus is on major target diseases in rural Philippines, including especially sputum microscopy for tuberculosis. Where appropriate, getting alongside rural health facility staff and strengthening their lab skills is also a focus. We welcome volunteers with suitable medical laboratory experience to join in!
GENERAL VOLUNTEER
Don’t have a qualification or skill in the above areas? No worries! We require a number of people who are willing to do – anything! From cleaning and cooking, to registering patients and providing practical support to clinical teams, there is a lot to be done and many adventures to be had!
